2008 Marquee Option

Friday the 22nd of August - Ladies Day

• $75 per person includes race entry, a 2 course meal in a trackside marquee with Fashion Parade and Entertainment

Saturday the 23rd August Amateurs Cup Day

• Phar Lap Marquee - (Public Dining Marquee) $80 per person includes race entry, a 2 course meal in a trackside marquee with private bar

• Raceview Room - $150 per person includes race entry, entry into the air-conditioned Raceview Room, a two course lunch and a 5 hour drinks package.

ALL EVENTS ON SATURDAY 23rd AUGUST ARE STRICTLY FOR OVER 18 YEARS OF AGE ONLY.
PROOF OF AGE WILL BE REQUIRED TO ENTER THE RACE COURSE.

CONDITIONS OF 2008 ANNUAL RACE MEETING

Q.R. Rules and By-Laws and regulations and the Club Domestic Rules

• No horse will be allowed to start unless a permit has been granted by Q.R.
• The committee reserves the power from time to time to make any alterations, modifications, cancellations of this program, to alter the sequence of race, or date and time for receiving entries, time of starting, declaration of handicaps and second payments (subject to Q.R. approval)

SCRATCHING CLAUSE
Notwithstanding the provision of A.R. 114, notice of withdrawal of a horse shall be given as follows: FRIDAY – NO LATER THAN 7.30am (Friday 24.08.07). SATURDAY – NOT LATER THAN 7.30am (Saturday 25.08.07), and without prejudice to the powers conferred upon Stewards by A.R. 114©, no horse shall be withdrawn except by permission or order of the Stewards.

PRIZEMONEY
All prizemoney to Owners. Trainers and Jockeys will by paid by Queensland Racing.

NOMINATION AND ACCEPTANCE FEES:
Nomination and acceptance fees must be paid to Queensland Racing. Nomination and acceptance fees shown on the program are GST inclusive. Prizemoney shown on the program in NOT GST inclusive.
ALL HORSES NOT SCRATCHED AT THE TOWNSVILLE TURF CLUB’S OFFICE ON/OR BEFORE THE RELEVANT TIME STATED WILL BE LIABLE FOR ACCEPTANCE FEES.

WEIGHTS WILL BE DECLARED for BOTH DAYS as soon as possible after nominations close. Lowest Handicap weight – 53.5kg.

Where the number of acceptances for any races exceeds the number provided for in Q.R. Local Rule 67, the committee may run the race in two or more divisions and may allot the horses to the divisions.

BALLOTING
Standard Q.R. balloting conditions apply.

PENALTIES
In all races, the Winner (after declaration of weights) of any race shall carry such additional weight (if any) as the Handicapper shall determine (not exceeding 3kgs). The winner (after declaration of weights) of any two handicap flat races shall carry such additional weight (if any) as the Handicapper shall determine (not exceeding 4.5kgs).
